MODEL
Model classes are to be judged as follows:
The horses will enter the arena single file at a
flat foot walk. The first horse entering the arena will stop at the far end of the arena and the remaining horses will line up
single file behind the first horse.
Each horse will then work individually. The
horse will move at a flat foot walk from marker A to marker B, then gait from marker B to marker C and then flat foot walk from
marker C to marker D. The horse will then proceed to the opposite side of the arena. After all horses have worked, the
horses will line up head to tail for inspection by the judges. The judges shall inspect each horse from both sides, front and
rear. The judges may ask for a workout by asking that any horse flat foot walk to the rail and to gait back to the line up.
Judging shall be based one third on
conformation, one third on flat foot walk, and one third on gait. The preferred gait is a foxtrot, followed in decreasing
order of preference by a running walk, pace, or hard/square trot.
