STALLION NOMINATION

Nomination is open to any approved stallion registered with the MFTHBA. Annual payment of $300 per stallion, is open November 1, due by January 1, or $400 due by February 1, or $500 due by April 1, or $600 due by June 1 of the nominated year plus $25 NAB family membership, and covers the breeding season ending October 31. Fees for stallion nominations received after June 1st will increase $100 per month. Breeding may take place by live coverage or artificial insemination (AI). In the case of AI using frozen semen from a deceased stallion, the stallion must be paid up for each season the frozen semen is used. Foals born as a result of breeding to a nominated stallion are eligible to participate in National Breeders Cup Championship Shows as detailed under ENTERING OFFSPRING. A copy of the stallion’s MFTHBA registration papers must be sent on all new stallions.

Owner Privileges

Upon receipt of stallion nomination payment, the stallion will be listed in the NAB advertisements in the MFTHBA Journal. The earlier the payment is made, the sooner the stallion will appear in the publication. Stallions will also be advertised on the NAB website and published in the newsletter. Stallion nominations must be received by the 25th of the month in order to be advertised in the Journal in the second following month (example: received by Jan 25th will be in March issue).

Stallion owners also have the privilege of nominating judges for the 2 Year Old Performance year of offspring sired by their stallion. See SELECTION OF SHOW JUDGES for further information.

Non-Paid Returned Checks

Entries enclosing insufficient payment will be returned in full to the entrant and will not be considered entered until paid in full within the deadlines for payment. Partial pay ment will not be accepted. Any payment returned from entrant’s banking institution as “Not Paid” will be cancelled. Repayment will only be accepted from a Money Order or Cashier’s Check. All NAB advertisement of any insufficiently paid stallion will cease until full payment is collected. National Association of Breeders, Inc., is not responsible for payments made to addresses other than PO Box 3193, Springfield, MO 65808, nor to any individual parties. National Association of Breeders shall not be held liable for any delays or losses due to the vagaries of the US Postal System. To insure timely receipt of payment, applicant may use certified mail at his/her expense.
