Time to Tango
2014 National Breeders Championships Senior Amateur Champions, 'Time to Tango' (better known as Tango) is certainly no stranger to the winners circle. 'Tango' was directed to this Championship by Lane Patterson who owns the golden palomino stallion with his father, Chris Patterson.
'Tango' was bred and raised by Ben and Nancy Isreal of Jasper Springs Stables. He is sired by NAB Nominationed stallion 'Jester's Charming Legend' and out of 'Spitfire's Golden Sunrise.' Patterson adds that 'Tango' is closely related to many World Grand Champions, "Legend's Wendy is his full sister, Patriot's Traveling Spitfire is his grandmother on his dams side, Missouri's Charming Princess is his grandmother on his sire's side, He is a paternal brother to Fancy Flashback and Teardrop's On My Guitar who are both also out of his grandmother Patriot's Traveling Spitfire."
'Tango' was "broke out as a young two year old by Steve Dampier," Patterson adds that he "started riding him in October of that year and has done all of the training on him ever since."
Patterson says that his favorite aspect about 'Tango' "would have to be his disposition and his desire to please." Noting that 'Tango' is a "horse that I can pull out of the stall and with very little riding I can let anyone ride and he will just go out and do his job. He works hard to give you what you want and absolutely loves being in the show ring."
Patterson wishes to extend a thank you to Chris and Janice Patterson and his Wife Erin Patterson, adding that they "have been there to help me with whatever I needed." Also to 'Time To Tango's' many supporters.
Congratulations again to 'Time to Tango' and owners Chris and Lane Patterson on their Championship win at the 2014 National Breeders Championship!
