MINUTES OF MEETING

The meeting was called to order by Ted Nichols, with the following in attendance: Angelia Owens, Lorraine Bradley, Julie Alford, Mike Rutledge, Steve Wood, Steve Kenney, Mitzi Nichols, Shawn Marhefka, Bryan Biggs, and Danny Cantrell. Those absent were: Larry Kilroy, Geno Middleton, Brian Land, and Pam Vest.

Upon motion by Mike Rutledge, seconded by Steve Wood, the minutes of the meeting held on February 20, 2008 were approved by a unanimous vote.

Upon motion by Mitzi Nichols, seconded by Steve Kenney, the treasurer’s report given by Lorraine Bradley was approved by a unanimous vote.

Upon motion by Bryan Biggs, seconded by Steve Wood, it was approved to place Julie Alford as a signor on our certificates of deposit. Her signature will be replacing that of former board member Ron Austin.

Upon motion by Steve Kenney, seconded by Mike Rutledge it was approved to place Lorraine Bradley as a signor on the safe deposit box.

The following co-owned waiver requests were voted upon:

1. Sweet Talkin’ Stella (Jarrod Freeman & Bobbie Williams) Upon motion by Mitzi Nichols, seconded by Julie Alford, the waiver was approved by an 8-2 vote.

2. Trax-Sational (Eva Dedmon & Paula Denney) Upon motion by Steve Wood, seconded by Mike Rutledge, the waiver was approved by an 8-2 vote.

3. Lilly Claire (Jarrod Freeman & Alice Rowden) Upon motion by Julie Alford, seconded by Steve Wood, the waiver was approved by a 7-2 vote with Angelia Owens abstaining.

4. Secrets to My Heart (Monica Nichols & Jo Hubner) Upon motion by Steve Wood, seconded by Lorraine Bradley, the waiver was approved by a 6-2 vote, with Mitzi Nichols and Shawn Marhefka abstaining.

5. Playboy’s Charm (Lisa Mayfield a& Alan King) Upon motion by Lorraine Bradley, seconded by Steve Kenney, the waiver was approved by a 6-4 vote.

Sunrise Golden Echo C. owned by Herman Cantrell won the drawing for the Stallion of the month.

Julie Alford informed the board that John Deere has not agreed to give us a gator. They offered to sell us one for $5,500.00.

Upon motion by Angelia Owens, seconded by Steve Wood, the contract with Exiss trailers was approved. Shawn reported on the status of other sponsors. She also presented a new sponsorship form.

Terry informed that board that she has secured Valerie Mason, Brian Payne, and Bob Crafton for our show.

Terry also stated that the fairgrounds did accept our check for the same amount as last years lease.

The next meeting will be held at the Tuscan Grill on April 30^th.
