On a cold February day in 1998, Wayne received a call
from Justin Dampier about a good young clot he had seen and ridden a t Montgomery Stables
in Mountain Grove, Mo. They decided they would go and look as Wayne had been looking
for a 2 year old stallion. Twister was a sorrel just started but these two men were
impressed enough for Wayne to make an offer. Doug Montgomery accepted the offer and
Twister was taken to Dampier Stables to begin training with the ultimate goal...win the 2
year old Breeders Cup. We were proud when this goal was reached.
Twister placed reserve this year in the 3 year old
Breeders Cup, but we were equally proud, as we believe we own one of the most outstanding
young stallions alive. Next spring Twister's first foals will be born and we are
excited at the prospect of having and seeing "Little Twisters".
