Scud-Buster has five World Champions on his sire's side: Outlaw's Patriot (Pedro) who was the 1997 World Grand Champion and his dam has two World Grand Champions and is walking bred on the granddam's side.

I bought "Scud" when he was forty-five days old with the thought of promoting Pedro colts. Steve Kenny bought half interest from me two weeks later and we began a great partnership and friendship.

We kept him at my stable, broke and trained him until forty-five days before the NBC when Jerry Middleton put on the finishing touch. With Jerry coming down and coaching Bill Denman at my stables while Jerry was recuperation from surgery, a great horse was developed. Scud won the first NBC championship and went on to win the two year old World Champion Stallion at Ava, with his sire, Patriot winning the World Grand Championship, which was a championship first in the history of our breed.

Scud-Buster is enjoying the winter, hunting at Stockton Lake at Kenny's farm and is anxious to return to the show ring in 1998. We thank everyone for their support this past year and are looking forward to seeing the half brothers and sisters in 1998.

Kind regard,

Doug Montgomery
